BOTOX

BOTOX® is a prescription medicine cosmetic physicians have been using for years to treat wrinkles and facial creases.

As we age, repeated contractions of the muscles that control frowning and squinting cause these lines to become noticeable, making us look older gradually. When Botox is injected into those muscles, it blocks nerve transmissions. The muscles can no longer contract, reducing the appearance of existing wrinkles and lines and discouraging the formation of new ones.

Botox® can be used for treating:

  • Forehead wrinkles
  • Lines between the eyes
  • Crow’s feet
  • TMJ pain
  • Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)
  • Creases in the lips
  • Dimples in the chin
  • Jaw reduction

What to expect – Real, noticeable results

It only takes a short time for your Botox treatment. A fine needle is used to inject the Botox into specific muscles according to the desired cosmetic improvement. There is only minor discomfort, and no anesthesia is needed.

Botox weakens the muscles and reduces wrinkles and frown lines, forehead lines, crow’s feet, and more. For certain patients, Botox may, at times, also be used around the mouth or on the neck.

On average, most patients will see results within 72 hours after Botox injections. It may take as many as 8-10 days after treatment for decreased muscle movement for a few individuals.

Also, there can be a noticeable improvement in moderate-to-severe frown lines between your brows. After your initial treatment, wrinkles and lines will continually improve for up to 30 days. The results can last for up to 4 months. Individual results may vary.
